Not gonna lie, we've had a bit of moisture up here. Rivers are high, and fish are cold. But the end of this week looks to be a warming trend. The ponds and lakes are fishing well, with multiple Brown hits on sinking lines. Rainbows are surfacing for Yellow Sallies and Blue Winged Olives when the sun is out, and golden stonefly nymphs are fishing in some spots. Light Hendrickson's are waning, but Klinkhammers have attracted some interest.
We're expecting the season to really take off by this coming weekend and certainly by Father's Day. We've got more flies coming in by Thursday so we'll be fully stocked with your Hornbergs, Muddlers, and almost anything else that catches your eye.
On that note, we've got a great Father's Day sale going on through June 18th and a couple of great classes that weekend with Jon Zukowski. Jon will be teaching beginners at 9 am on Saturday morning, and throwing back some brews on Sunday night with avid fly tiers at the shop at 3 pm. Pre-register for either or both classes, cost $35 for any single class or $60 for both. (307) 200-1039 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
